The Foundation for a Mindful Society was created as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2011. We launched Mindful magazine and Mindful.org to promote trustworthy, accessible content to grow the field.
By 2018 we had accomplished our media goals. In July 2020 we transferred Mindful magazine and Mindful.org to the newly formed, for-profit Mindful Communications & Such to expand the resources and capacity to bring benefit to an even larger audience.
Mindful Cities
The Foundation continues our mission through community education, and public policy advocacy, and social innovation initiatives.
Our current lead project is the Mindful Cities Initiative, supporting local leaders who are bringing mindfulness training to civic employees in their communities.
The Foundation for a Mindful Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Your support enables us to carry out key mindfulness initiatives. All donations are tax-deductible where allowed by law.
"In today’s world, mindfulness is not an indulgence, it’s an imperative. Underserved urban school kids, their teachers, veterans, burned-out caregivers, traumatized police, besieged firefighters, and more—all finding pain relief and life skills from these practices. Now is the time to double down on mindfulness. It is the infrastructure renewal we need for society today."
